We are so thankful that we choose to have a long engagement-this has been a really fun and beautiful journey so far. as our wedding date with the ceremony and reception to take place in our hometown of Richmond, Va. An official Save-the-Date will be coming your way within the next few months. We are over the moon about how our sweet little wedding celebration is taking shape.
When Ben originally asked me what kind of ring I'd like, no ring I saw 'spoke' to me. I've photographed dozens and dozens of engagement rings and every ring I saw looked just like one I'd already seen. As if Ben wasn't already perfect for me, he decided to restore the only ring in the entire world that I loved with all of my heart: my sweet Grandma Punk's ring. To know that this ring has passed lovingly through the hands of the people I love most in this world: My grandmother (with whom I was kindred souls), my mother (who is my best friend) and then Ben (my soul mate) gives me more joy than I can articulate in this small space. Everytime I look at my hand, I'm reminded of Punk's presence during this really special time.
